Some slams Chelsea Fans Racist Incident Involved in Paris
London – A number of people who reported as Chelsea fans caught being racist when the London club were a visit to Paris for the Champions League. The Blues also condemned the racist actions, supports the legal action, and also ready to provide its own punishment.
Chelsea’s midweek visit to the headquarters of Paris Saint-Germain in the party’s first leg of the Champions League last 16 on Wednesday (18/02/2015) pm dawn. The match was finally completed with a score of 1-1.
Ahead of the game, there is a video that gives rise to a racially nuanced scene. In amateur video taken at the Metro station Richelieu-Drouot, a number of football supporters who are already in a railway carriage seemed to rebuke, prevent, and encourage one another passenger who was about to go into the carriage because of his skin color is black.
Paul Nolan, Britons who lived in Paris and filmed the video, told BBC Radio Four that the Chelsea fans who were in the carriage also looks “very aggressive”. The fans were also heard to say, “We racially, we racist, and we were happy like that.”
“Such behavior is disgusting and has no place in football or society,” said Chelsea responded to the video, as reported by Reuters.
“We will support any criminal action against those involved and if there is evidence that the Chelsea season ticket holders involved, the club will take strict action against them, including imposing the ban,” the statement continued.
Meanwhile, the BBC reported that the French police had been investigating the incident.
