Liverpool’s players Shocked Will Left Gerrard
Liverpool – Steven Gerrard‘s decision to leave Liverpool at the end of the season turned out to be surprisingly teammates. No one thought the captain would go from Anfield so soon.
Gerrard has decided to leave Liverpool when his contract runs out at the end of this season. The decision will separate them with a club that has been defended since he was nine years old.
“We already know the various news in the newspapers about whether he will renew his contract. However, everyone thinks in the end he will sign a new contract,” said partner Gerrard in Liverpool’s midfield, Jordan Henderson, as quoted by the BBC.
“But, knowing he would go was a big surprise. No one knows in advance,” said Henderson.
During strengthen the Liverpool first team (1998–present), Gerrard has appeared in 695 games in all competitions with the Reds and recorded 180 goals. Midfielder who is now 34-year-old drove his team won the Champions League trophy, the UEFA Cup, two FA Cup trophies, three League Cup trophy, the Community Shield trophy, and two European Super Cup trophy.
Gerrard reportedly will lead the Major League Soccer (MLS) in the next season. Los Angeles Galaxy became one of the clubs mentioned are interested in the former England captain.
“It will be difficult because he is a leader on our team, symbols, and has been for years. We must try to resolve it as best as possible,” said Henderson.
