Got a Good Memory, Cazorla Want FA Cup Champion Again
London – FA Cup became one of the tournament favorites Santi Cazorla. Therefore, the Arsenal midfielder was determined to return to lead his team to the championship ladder.
Last season, Arsenal won the FA Cup after a dramatic win over Hull City in the final round. First two goals in just over eight minutes, the Gunners then able to turn things around and win 3-2 through extra time.
Cazorla become one of the actors behind Arsenal comeback. Goal through a free kick in the 17th minute brought Arsenal to turn up at once to reduce the lag. Goals from Laurent Koscielny in the second half and Aaron Ramsey during extra time and then sealed the win for Arsenal.
“It’s similar to the Copa del Rey, but the FA Cup here is very important for every club. This is a great trophy for all teams here and in Spain, Copa del Rey same,” Cazorla said as quoted by the official club website.
“I have good memories of the final last season and it was a very good moment for me and the team. It was my first trophy with the club and I want to win it again this year.”
“I think the free-kick against Hull is very important because we were 2-0 down and I can help the team. In the half-round, it’s different when you can score one goal,” he added.
Arsenal effort to retain the FA Cup will continue to face Brighton & Hove Albion in the fourth round on Sunday (25/01/2015). As defending champion, Cazorla did not feel any more pressure.
“I think there is no more pressure this year. We want to win this competition again and this is a great opportunity for us. We have to play at home to Brighton and we can repeat again got the trophy for the fans and the club,” lugasnya.
