Not Young Again, Eto’o Believed Still Have Instincts Make Goal
Liverpool – Samuel Eto’o made his teammates at Everton, including Leighton Baines, impressed. Baines believes Eto’o can still be relied upon to find the net.
Eto’o, who is now aged 33 years, joined Everton this summer. The Cameroon striker nationals last season for Chelsea and scored 12 goals for the Blues.
Eto’o has been diving debut with Everton at the weekend. He immediately scored a goal when the Toffees defeated Chelsea 3-6 at Goodison Park. Goal is believed to be the first of many that will be donated Eto’o goals for Everton.
“Since the first training session, he looks sharp. I know it sounds stupid, but even the way he passes the ball very precise,” Baines said in the Liverpool Echo.
“He moved to the right. That sounds a little things, but he is seen as a good footballer,” he added.
“He always had the instinct to score goals. Movements will always be good,” said the England left-back.
“We‘ve seen most of it in practice and then against Chelsea when he can make an impact,“ said Baines.
